Banned in LA

When I was a kid I spent one whole summer in the house playing my mom's records. The record player was in the living room and I played "Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets" over and over again, sweating in the summer heat, flinging my arm dramatically across my brow. Finally my stepfather grabbed the record and flung it like a frisbie across the room where it smashed against my mom's copper Korean mask her 1st husband had brought back from the war and given her as a wedding present...
