Sometimes the other comments are just so damned good that I can't think of anything to say. My recollections of imminent disaster range mostly around THE BOMB and trying to come up with a strategy executable by one person and with no telephone!
By the way, it seemed more than idle serendipity that the word in your Dictionary widget was bombinate.
