Formula for success

As an 18 year old bride I spent an enormous amount of time ironing long sleeve white shirts. I believed this is all it took.

As I got older I realized there were dishes to wash too.

As a 26-year-old bride, I thought all you needed was love.

I guess nobody wore t-shirts to work in 1960.

T-shirts? Not on your life. Every male with a job looked like one of the Blues Brothers.

hello :)
i hope it doesn't bother you, but i have been reading your blog all day and it just left me a taste of happiness which i really needed today. i came here accidentally, i just tiped 'hippie' on google, and i found this blog, so sweet, so interesting, so delicate. i really enjoyed reading it :)
i see you're a writer, and that's what i would like to be, too. you write you're a post hippie, and a hippie, that's what i would like to be :) but i was born only sixteen years ago, and way too far from there, in a little town in italy. bob dylan, joan baez, i see we listen to the same music, too. i wish i had a blog as nice as yours, so that you could read it, i think i'll be starting one, soon... but in fact i'm leaving this comment just to say thank you, because i had a great time reading about you... i send you a smile, from the other side of the ocean, hoping you'll feel as happy as i do :)
have a nice day,
gaia
