Mr. Montalban

I met Ricardo Montalban in the 60's when he visited the office in LA where I worked. He came off the elevator with an entourage, swept into our room on the 4th floor, looked at me and said, "Nice typewriter."

I lived a bleak life at the time. To give you an idea: those 2 words made my life worth living.

Did Ricardo Montalban really need food stamps?

When I was a teenager, Michael Landon asked me how it felt to be a party crasher. I did not feel like life was worth living, but in the end, I was the winner. I was humiliated but he was a bastard.

Katie, I hope you asked him back "How does it feel to know everyone will always think of you as Little Joe?"
