The worms are coming

Yesterday Annie Bones and I were sitting in the room we call The Nest when we suddenly heard a great crack! in the house. We both jumped up and peered into the living room. Our gigantic arty mirror which weighs too much for one person had fallen off the wall.

This morning I stepped outside to say hi to Calabasas, a neighborhood dog. Our neighbor's flagpole, empty of flag was rocking vigorously from side to side. I watched it for half an hour. The trees around the pole were calm but the pole continued to thrash.

These events combined with my equilibrium problems lead me to believe the earth is growling beneath our little neighborhood. I'm reminded of an old horror flick where giant worms wormed their way through a little town devouring everything in their path.

Uh, excuse me. Gone fulltime? What about us, your devoted workshop kin? It's probably just some weird animal that dug it's den under the pole and will eventually it's head. (Maybe you could contact Palin for advice!
