We saw the movie, MILK, this week. Powerful, sad and uplifting all at the same time.In real time I missed it all. I was living on a dirt road in the Mojave Desert concerned that Joyce down at the T-Bird had raised the price of a draft from 25 cents to 30.

I saw those social revolutions unfolding on television, but had no way to process what it all meant. It did, however, create a sort of reservoir of outrage about racist, sexism, hate crimes, etc, that fueled later involvement.
I was there. So empowering and freeing! The year I came out of the closet finally being true to myself.
