In keeping with our pledge to purge this winter, Irene has donned her no-nonsense cap and is selling stuff at the flea this morning. The crowds are small. Even though our prices are rock bottom people can still get it cheaper at Mervyn's.

My first credit card was from Mervyn's! I don't think Aaron will remember this, but when I got it, he tried to explain to me how it worked, how if you didn't pay it in full, there was a big price to pay. Either I didn't understand or I chose not to understand, and sure enough, I got myself into DEBT. Wish I could say it was the last time I did that, but there you go, there's my blast from the past!
You are probably one of the reasons Mervyn's has gone belly-up! Even with their "big price to pay" they didn't survive. All Mervyn's stores close just after the holidays.
